"Alex is amazing! Having Alex care for my two boys was a relief as I was travelling for work. It’s very rare to find a true compatible companion that cares for my pups with attention, dedication and genuine friendship. My boys were expertly well cared for and I couldn’t be happier with the service and care Alex provided. I highly recommend Alex and look forward to having her care for my pups again."

"Alex looked after my two cats during a recent vacation. Frequent updates kept me informed about their well being and it made being away a lot less stressful. Upon returning the apartment was clean and both of them were very happy. Poochingtons is my choice for all my travels in the future, I trust Alex that everything is looked after and I can enjoy my time away without any worries."

"Alex is a wonderful dog walker. I highly recommend her to anyone who loves their dogs. She has a gentle spirit and you can see how much she cares for animals and pets. Alex goes the extra mile to text me after each walk to let me know how it went. I feel confident knowing our dog is in the best hands. I have a busy schedule at work during the day and don’t have to worry that Chloe isn’t being looked after. Alex is flexible and reliable and I can see she makes Chloe happy!"

"Alex goes above & beyond what we’re used to! Our hound has always been highly strung, but her temperament is way more relaxed and happier now – thanks to Alex’s kind care and attention. We are so happy we found her!"

"Alex is a wonderful dog walker. She has taken on quite the challenge with our energetic beagle and grumpy dachshund. Despite their bad habits, she spoils them with love and patience. We are extremely fortunate to have found her."

"Alex is my go-to for cat sitting my Quince. I trust her implicitly, but more importantly, so does Quince, who often tells me to kindly go away again just so she can hang out with Alex again and receive all those tickles and hugs. We adore Alex even more because she cycles to the house, making us our eco-choice for cat-sitter! We love her!"
"Thank you to Alex, owner of Poochington’s Dog Walking/Boarding company for taking such good care of my girl Phoebey! I travel often for work and it’s always been stressful leaving my somewhat high maintenance mini schnauzer behind. Luckily a friend recommended Alex to me- my dog LOVES staying with her. The last time I came to pick her up she was so content it was tough to get her to leave with me! I highly recommend Poochington’s for quality pet care."
"Alex is amazing! She has been walking my boxer Rosie for over a year now. Rosie is a ball of energy and always comes home well exercised and tired from her walks. Alex is great with her and genuinely cares for her, I even get daily text message updates on their walks! I would highly recommend Poochingtons!"

This is the best one I’ve used.
160g or 1/3 of a small box of baking soda
1 squirt of dish washing liquid
1 tbsp of hydrogen peroxide
Mix into a thick paste and smooth onto you pets face. Wait until dry and brush it off the face, avoiding the eyes.
It can be repeated again if needed.
Here’s a great balm for sore or cracked paws and winter moisturizer for cats and dogs.
2 tbsp Olive or almond oil
2 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tbsp Shea Butter
4 tsp Beeswax
In a small pot – or double boiler – over low heat melt the oils, Shea butter, and beeswax. Stir continuously until all is melted and well blended.
Pour the mixture into tins or small mason jars.
Let them cool on the counter until hard.
Cap and label.
Keep away from extreme heat.
Use within 1-2 years
Thanks to http://www.frugallysustainable.com for the recipe!
Dogs are extremely sensitive to the heat and should never be left in a car alone, even on a fairly warm or cloudy day.
Freezing treats and a few toys in water & a bit of chicken stock, keeping them cool and busy in the Summer heat.
